TelLIT: Kate Patterson and Public Storytelling

TelLIT returns! Our March event features Kate Patterson, an LC Valley native who has written her first book “P Is For Posie”. Dive in with us as Kate presents on her "roots" in the family garden center and creative writing, her famous dog Posie, and the handful of kids that influenced the main character, Vera Kate. Learn how it all started, finding an illustrator, working through the self-publishing process & the people that helped along the way.

Following Kate’s presentation, Amy Coulter (who just happens to be Kate’s illustrator for “Posie”) will start off the public storytelling event and serve as our guest judge. We then invite the audience to perform their rehearsed works (either original or credited to the author), of up to 7 minutes in length, within the theme of “Tales of Tails”. The night’s storytelling champion wins a bottle of wine AND an entry into the annual Storytelling of Champions event in January 2021. All storytellers receive a free glass of wine.

“P Is For Posie” will be available for sale during the event for $22. All ages welcome. Minimum age of storytellers is 13.
